Please check your seam spotter iphone app. it seems to have a bug in the light grey image on iphone 5. it shows artefacts on the borders which are only shown on iphone 5 and not on iphone/ipod touch 4 models … we’ve testet it on two different iphone 5 and it looks like it’s a bug in the app, unsless both iPhones we’ve tested have both the same hardware issue (which i don’t think is the case).
I have similar finding in my iPhone 5. I check the program and it should behaves identically on iPhone 4 or iPhone 5. The two grey-color screen is indeed a one-pixel black and white pattern (in both retina and not-retina display). I do not have an idea why there is the artefact. I’ll keep your post when I found something.
